Keeping up appearances

We are now about to move into tier 4 - I have been shielding since 16th March - so not much has changed for me in this time. I am part of a group that runs FREE exercise & yoga zoom sessions for any that have ended up in ICU( we self fund everything) - our members have a wide range of conditions but all want to ‘reclaim the dark’. We are UK based but zoom opens up the world - the only challenge is time difference. I ended up in ICU for 90 days - it has taken me for ever to recover my fitness & sense of well-being - these sessions have greatly enhanced the quality of my life. Please message me and I can forward details.

I too are self shielding since March having come out from a long stay in ICU. ICUStepsChester has given me great support and helped me back to reality and improved fitness. We were in T2 & moving to T3 in a few hours. Fortunately we decided to go off in our caravan in our own area and where there is no one else. Fortunately we are a mastermind exception - we started so we can finish!!!!

Stay safe. I might be interested... Doesn't seem to be much work on icu delirium in the US except at Vanderbilt

The exercise and yoga sessions are just so helpful to my husband. He was in ICU for 7 weeks. I recommend starting with the gentle yoga. Also, the support group for relatives of patients has been an amazing source of support and comfort for me.
