My dad has made an amazing recovery from being intubated after a heart attack and delirious with a list of complications to being able to move to acute rehab.
He only made it a few days in acute rehab as he was having shortness of breath and was moved to the E.R. His lungs filled up with water again and he was put on a BiPap to help him breathe. They took it off after 8 hours but he started needing it again. He has low blood pressure so they had to give him Dobutamine and Levofed to support his BP while they gave him more diuretics. He's still on the BiPap but over the last 1.5 months this pulmonary edema or whatever it is has been a reocurring theme.
He's fluid restricting but the chest xrays are only getting worse. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I feel like I lose him everyday.
