Ostiomylitis

Has anyone experienced ostiomylititis and what is there prognosis on life ??? I would love some input as hospital didn’t really have a clue I know it’s rare

I had ostiomylititis as a 6 year old in my lower left leg. I am now 58 years old with absolutely no ill affects from having had ostiomylitits. I did have to have 3 operations on my leg as a child to drain the deep seated infection and to remove some of my bone when the infection would not clear up. I was also in hospital for several weeks on very strong IV antibiotics. However, apart from a big scar on my left shin I have no other signs of ever having had this condition and it has not impacted my health in any way.

Than you rosella even though I have had a private mri saying active ostiomylitis and a bone biopsy confirming this Neville hall in Abergavenny are just ignoring me no antibiotics whatsoever the private consultation said 12 weeks of iv vancomycin got a appointment Tom and I have put a complaint in I just don’t get it
