Hi

My wife died in a critical care ward after 11 days of care. The staff were absolutely brilliant. I don't think they get the recognition they deserve. I couldn't do their job. It would upset me too much.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. The NHS care in specialist Units is second to none. You can know she had the best care.

I’m so sorry that your wife did not survive. I am grateful, everyday, for the fantastic care I was given. My family, too, were supported as best as was possible under the circumstances. You are right, NHS staff are not given the credit or reward that they deserve.

I am sorry your wife passed away and I hope that you have family supporting you. Yes critical care and NHS staff are marvellous and need more recognition and support. Take care.

I'm so sorry that your wife passed away. My dad was in ICU almost two years ago now and I agree completely with you, the NHS is absolutely incredible. The aftercare and emotional support my dad has received since has been amazing, and the support we got when he was ill was not something I expected. It's very humbling to me that you are focusing on the NHS's hard work and helping to bring them recognition after going through something so awful, I think it shows that you have a real strength of character. I hope you are doing well yourself and have plenty of support around you :)
