ECLS gives mechanical support to lungs & heart whereas ECMO gives support to respiratory system

Hi Dallas watch this it explains that ECLS is ECMO. ECMO is just the main name used. ECLS is the broader term. It is essentially the same thing. The video is very interesting. Have a look.

Hello

I have direct experience of Hope that may help you. This time a year ago my younger brother was critically ill on ECMO. Today he is back to full health. There is an ECMO family support group at Wythenshawe Hospital which was a great help to me and my family when my brother was very ill. I will send a link.
