I am sorry to hear that. Did the hospital organise counseling for you at all after? What are your struggles now?

My daughter was in a coma for almost 6 weeks recently. For different reasons but she too felt angry and hopeless. She also had ICU delirium. However the hospital organised a psychiatrist. She also had some PTSD which sounds like something you may have also. It can definitely make you have flashbacks and feel worthless and no point to life. It causes depression. I would strongly advise you to see a doctor and get started on some meds first and get them to arrange you to talk to someone regularly. You have been through something so traumatic. You sometimes need a little help to get past that.

Thank you so much,I have a support group on the 15 th December,my doctor has been great but since I started seeing a mental health nurse I've had better advice,I really think I need a one on one psychiatrist ! I'm glad to hear your daughter is on the mend, and thanks again for reaching out it's made such a difference

you are so welcome sparky. It is always a help i think, to let others know they are not alone. That what you are feeling is normal. AND there is help and a light at the end of the tunnel.
