Dad, 73 yrs. old. ARDS, aspiration, on vent since 8/20. Was on dialysis for 8 weeks, but kidneys have bounced back. No sedation for 1 week. He follows with his eyes and puckers up when asked for a kiss. They say he'll be vent dependent forever. I don't agree. He has severe anxiety normally, and I'm sure that is a factor. Thoughts?
