Good Day everyone! Just this past Sunday my mom heart just stopped. She had no pulse however paramedics brought her back. Doctors said if it wasn’t for the paramedics working on her so good she wouldn’t be here. What are the odds of my moms old friend being the paramedic that helped saved my mom life! But God!! My mom was in a medical induced coma on propofol however when they stop the drip she hasn’t woke up. She is responding but it’s slow. She is stable with no brain damage and she has good brain activity. Heart pumping good all organs are fine and she is breathing over the machine. They starting prepping her for rehab. When the doctor call her name she turns her head to him and he tells her to open her eyes she does. They pinch her she responds but she goes back into the sleep. Doctors said she is responding slowly and he is very hopeful she will wake up soon. He said up to two weeks it’s just seconds feel like hours. We are there around the clock to stimulate her talk to her, play music etc. I must admit this is very hard but I’m ready to start moms recovery. Has anyone went through this with similarities to my situation. With everything working but she not waking? I know this is a process that require patience and medical staff says her body been through trauma that she has to recover from. Like running 12 marathons at her age 61 is what I was told. Please talk to me.
