Research is an essential part of improving critical care and the patient experience. Many ICU survivors find participating in clinical research of value, and find it very worthwhile to use what they've gone through to help improve the experience for those who will follow them.

Community members are at different points in their critical illness experience, making the community an inappropriate place to engage in research. If you have a patient or relative perspective on critical care and would like to help with research, please register onto our database of research participants. icusteps.org/patients/research

If you're a researcher who would like to reach our research volunteers, please email research@icusteps.org with your research question so we can help you with your enquiry.
