I'm only 18 so haven't actually had children but have had 3 short stays in Icu over the last 18 months and nobody has ever said that any of these could affect me having children in the future, although I suppose it probably depends what was wrong with you. Sorry I couldn;t be more help, I hope everything works out for you!xx

Hi, my ICU stay was because of a very rare pregnancy condition and emergency childbirth so I won't be having any more. I hope this doesn't alarm you - it was extremely rare. All the best x

. i was in ICU for 15 days, 2 days after the birth of my baby but the illness was unrelated to the pregnancy and birth. I think I was just interested in experiences of antenatal care and how others felt during the pregnancy and how other family members reacted to the news. But i suppose its all a very individual experience depending on health at the time, local care providers, your choices and probably even emotional recovery. I've always had dreams of a big family and am just thinking about the future
