Lost an old friend.

As I was growing up my next door neighbours had a boy of the same age (just a month difference) his name was Paul, he was born with spina bifida, we didn't see an awlful lot of each other, but we had grown up together & we always sent each other cards at Xmas.

He always told me how he loved it when I put my rock music on as a teenager ( yep blaring out ! ) as he loved to listen to it!

Even when I had left my parents house & started my family we still sent each other cards & his always said 'love from Paul', I will miss that at Xmas time as it always made me smile. I always tried to make it to theirs too at Xmas time, rather than post the cards...... time goes by so quick.

They say they were surprised he had lasted this long (41) but he did, he loved football, music & playing jokes on people & making people smile, he will be missed, his parents did everything around him & I know it is hitting them hard, they have just had some re-modelling of their house & garden to help him more this year too :(

Hope he has plenty of music & football where ever he is now xx

Need not to let it upset me too much but it has go to me :(

Have my blood test tomorrow & have to take the coag machine with me for the nurse & doc' to see, hopefully that will go well & the inr is now rising.

Hope you are well xx

dear suez sorry to hear of your loss , its good you had the time you did. as we get older it seems this is more prevalent, but certainly doesnt make it any easier.good luck tommorrow. i head up state to dartmouth/hitchcock. to see rheumy , besides a.p.s. he found 3 more blood disorders, hes never seen this before. i am a little uneasy abouy it , but maybe some positive answers may come [i hope] dont know if they are going to keep me there or not. may good luck be with you and be well, your friend jet

Thank you Mary & Paddy,

I am visiting his Mum & Dad today, not sure how they'll be :(

l remembered earlier about when he came to one of the guys gig's & we told him I was singing earlier that year in a charity gig we did & he replied he wanted to sing one day a song by 'Meatloaf' with me!

So that's now his song :)
