Did u knw tha havin keyhole surgery is dangerous.i had 2 hav my apendix out last summer.n was due 2 hav keyhole bt sm surgeon said 2 dangerous as more risk ov clottin

Did he say why? I used to work as a surgical nurse and there is less risk of clotting with keyhole surgery. Its much safer than going open as less risk of bleeding and other complications as well. Some surgeries are not able to be done this way though and it varies by person and surgery. I would like to know his rationale on why it was thought to be unsafe. Did you end up having the surgery?

Yea i did hav surgery.n he said i wld ov clotted instantly if i had keyhole.i knw ther r lots ov risks involvin surgery.i also had bby in april via c section.

Maybe he meant any kind of surgery is more dangerous for us with these conditions?

Hi Rach,

I have had key hole surgery when my appendix was removed they did say there was risk but as long as my waferin and heperin was manged over the surgery period it was not an issue, you may want to check with the doc again to save you any unessacary worry.
