I am sorry that you are feeling so unwell - stupid question really but have you told your doctor / consultant / hosptial that you are feeling this way? I have to say I have never heard of that medication so i cannot offer you any answers but something sounds like its unhappy. The only thing I can suggest is to keep talking to your doctors until you feel like you again.

Good luck and take care

Hi Margaret

sorry to hear about bad time you been having. Furadantin other name nitrofurantoin (Spelling) is a pretty strong antibiotic, had it for uti's in past, it worked but side effects pretty horrid!!!

Just done a bit of research seems to me probably not a good choice to give someone with autoimmune conditions!! Is many years since been prescribed to me.

No wonder you feel awful.

I would push gp to get joint pains etc checked out, try get some relief for your symptoms.

Hope you feel better soon.

Take care gentle hugs sheena xxxxx jessielou xxx :-) :-) :-)

Hi Margaret

welcome to the group

I am really sorry to hear about what is happening like jess i did a bit of digging and agree that it seams likje a very strong drug, I would go back to your GP and tell them and also i would ask if you have one the consultatn about joint pain. If your GP is ok start with them.

keep us updated on how things go.
