I have, they found 5 clots in my left leg in 1995. It was a long and painful process. Due to gangrene setting in they finally amputated the leg. This was later to be found due to APS. My platette count on admission to hospital was 1.2 million, so my blood was like heavy maple syrup. Thank for asking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess misery does love company. I have not lost a limb, but 20 years prior to my actual diagnosis my first clotting issues -left leg-were attributed to a platelet count of 850 K. I thought I was the only one who had APS associated with a high, instead of a low, platelet count. I wonder if we have anything else in common?

I've had 7 cases of " mono," which I now suspect was actually non organ threatening lupus. Ring any bells?

Top of the morning to you Tiger, Thanks for your answer. Thanks to complictions from APS I lost my right wheel 21 years ago, sounds like we both went through the same horrible experiance before looseing a limb. I was misdiagnosed as having deep vein thrombophelbitis, 9 years later I recieved the right answer APS. I hope that all is well with you right now. Have a good day and take care Luv, OUT- Wedgeman
