Does anyone know what steps are being taken to determine if Dabigatran is a safe warfarin replacement for APS warfarin users? (Or any other alternative medicines).

There are multi centre trials being organised in the UK with St Thomas', UCH and UCL. Getting the funding as ever for a million pound plus project is proving difficult as is recruiting patients who are brave enough to be the first guinea pigs.

Tell you what I really disliked taking warfrain so much so that i switched to clexane just to get a brake from the appointments at the blood clinic but clexane is not a longer term answer, but given half a chance i would consider entering a trail to help to process along, but sadly i am not under the care of any of the centres above.
