Is it dangerous to take antidepressants or anxiolytics for those who have HS?

I have not heard of it being dangerous... I think most GP's/consultants probably cross reference drugs to make sure there is nothing counter productive being taken with the standard medication. I guess somebody in similar situation to yourself will come on and give more detail. Mary F x

I've taken them since my 1995 when first diagnosed. No problem at all.

I have had anti depressants for many yers. Tried to come off them 2 years ago and that nearly killed me. Professor Hughes thinks it is necessary as we have cognitive issues with HS.
