Hiya, we are all so different, once you have a few answers I would still have a chat with your GP and or consultant. I can't have any more due to the reactions I have, best luck with your decision, and I hope work goes well. MaryF

I had Astra Zeneca first 2, thenPfizer Comirnaty, Moderna Spikevax bivalent, Pfizer bivalent BA.4-5. I had a very mild case of Covid after Pfizer-hit on the head with anti virals on Day2. Had the last vax on 17th Aug-no side effects or reactions to any.

”The new upcoming booster”

It’s due to be released around the first of the year and contain antibodies against XB. Strains but I’m not sure about the new EG . And already varying strains. Not sure if this will have had time to be updated/ added into it. It’s supposed to last a year I think.

I haven’t had a booster in over 16 months- but have had Covid last summer .

Im definitely over due… but I hate to get this one if the new one will be out soon.

Do you know if we can get the Older bi- valent now, and then get the new one at the beginning of the year?

( honestly… I may just have this slightly wrong. I need to ask. Because I’m on rituximab I keep missing my windows to get it. I’m either battling an infection or crisis of some kind- or I’m too close to either side of infusions.)

hi. I am sorry that you HAVE to have shots in order to work. My suggestion is to read VEARS for both shots. It only has about 1% of adverse reactions reported on it, but it will give you an idea I was in healthcare, now I work privately. I had Covid once and have not even had a cold since. It’s been 2.5 years. I never had any shots I see a naturalpathic dr and eat organic foods. Please research, then present to your dr. Oh, and ask how much they get for each one they give out. I have researched this in my area Take care

I think I've had six jabs of Moderna, so far. Every time an offering is made, I get the vaccine as soon as I can. I stay away from crowded indoor spaces, and I wear a well-fitting N-95 mask whenever I'm likely to be in close proximity to people indoors for extended periods. So far, to my knowledge, I have not contracted COVID-19.

I had my most recent booster in late April, and from what I've read, the effectiveness of the vaccines declines at around four months, so I'm going to get the next one as soon as it's available. I'm anticipating being able to get it in California during late September/early October.

My recommendation: If you don't want COVID-19, take advantage of every protection available to you. If you can tolerate the vaccines, get vaccinated, and wear a well-fitting mask. The wastewater levels of COVID-19 in the USA are spiking right now, so now is a good time to be especially vigilant.

This is my take as well, after being guided this way by me Rheumatologist, immunologist, hematologist, neurologist, orthopedic surgeon, cardiologist , gastroenterologist , And a few other “ologists” I’m sure I’m leaving out…

This is such a difficult decision, especially if the doc leaves it up to your decision, as mine has. I've had 4 shots, including 2 boosters but got pretty sick with COVID in January 2023. Each of the 4 shots made me really sick for 5-7 days apiece. So I really don't know what I will do about the coming new booster!

I am limited to the less effective J@J. I have tested positive for covid twice, but each timeI was barely sick at all. A friend in my neighborhood is hunkered down because he tested positive after exposure but has no... zero! ... synptoms. He is fully vaccinated. He is self isolating to make sure he does not share. If and when a booster J &J is available I will get it ASAP. I know people my age who had polio and survived. I think vaccines are wonderful community health boosters!

Glad to hear j and j was effective! I might look at that hearing you sailed nicely through two bouts of Covid. ( I had rough headaches with Pfizer.)
