EMG - Both arms done yesterday Weds. 9-1-21.

up to 4 power to make test work on a 1-5 scale of power . .

Bruises in palms of hands from needles .

findings carpal tunnel both hands in both hands and fore arms also I guess.

These tests were run because of this constant numbness and tingling going on in all Limbs.

left arm especially - this limb by far the worst .

X-rays done on left shoulder because of bad pain there . No broken bones or cracked bones nothing seen remarkable .

MRI is next for the rotor cuff . This is where I believe we will find the source of the issues.

I did damage the cuff years ago and again a few months ago lifting ,this again I think is the culprit .

Now that being said are there many out there that are APS people that have been experiencing the same issues or like issues.

I know that pain in joints seems to be a likely problem , Have heard that a lot on here .

Where we are going to go from here is anybody guess??

Haven't read my DR Miruna's notes , wasn't available as of yet , just the after visit summary which tells me nothing but my 2 page med list , vitals weight {which their scale lie's !! we all know that , weighing with cloths on is like fishing with out bait .

I don't think they would offer me more meds and i don't think i want more of them with out getting rid of others if at all possible . Liver and kidneys are monitored evry 6 months in Gastro along with ultra sounds and a Fibro Scan all has been well but a concern with all my meds.

What is the meds they would use for Carpal Tunnel ??

knowing it could hinge on currant med being used ,so out come could be different just wanted to know what is used with fellow Sludge bloods .

Thanks All

Jet

I think there are many causes of problems with carpel tunnel syndrome, but mine, was definitely related to at the time my long standing hidden thyroid condition, hidden due to the over reliance of only the not very good TSH test being done, I did more detailed tests and once my Thyroid was treated the severity of my carpel tunnel problems in both wrists started to go away and has not come back, so worth looking into that as Prof Hughes says the trio of disease is often Hughes Syndrome/APS, Sjogrens and a Thyroid problem. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Jim,

I have had carpaltunnel problems since the start when I got APS. After I was anticoagulated enough my problems was almost gone. They have studied my fingers as I have thumb base problems in both hands and also now they can see carpaltunnel-issues in my right hand but it is ok with me. No drugs because of pain. I do not want to operate as it can be a failure I know.

It does not give me much pain.

I do hope Jim that you have enough constant thinning of your blood at a rather high level. When our bloood is thinned it will pass easier and less the pain I noticed. We are all different but at least try to find out how important for us the thinning of the blood is in our own case of APS.
