In the US the FDA refuses to approve it and after 10 years Ive had it trying to keep my INR in range. Thx for the reply.

Warfarin is no doubt better for us with APS. I wonder if you are triplepositive and have you tested often enough to be able to have control of your INR?

I am triplepositive and selftest in Sweden. My target INR is 4.0.

We need to have help from our selftestingteam and the Specialist to also do some parallelltesting to be sure the fingerprick and the veintest-number of INR is about the same taken within a 2 hours time.

It may differ a bit but it should always differ the same number so we know.

You can keep the INR steady with the same amount of greens always. If you eat less greens the INR will rise. If you eat more the INR will decrease.

Hi, I'm triple positive and cant take warfarin, last 15 years I'm on clexane (heparin). Did a trial on rivaroxaban but was stopped and put back on clexane.

Do you have a dedicated Hughes Syndrome/APS consultant weighing things up for you, it is very important they look at all the options for you? MaryF

I am triple positive, had CAPS, and I take Xarelto. I cannot take Heparin (or any derivative) because I had HIT and when on Warfarin, had a major reaction. I have been on Xarelto for 8 years. My Hematologist and Rheumatologist check my blood every 2-3 months (sometimes more depending on bloodwork).

I’m triple positive and can’t take warfarin. I’ve been on apixiban for about 3 years. My INR was very erratic, I was unable to self test because the numbers would be off a different direction and amount with no consistency. Where are you in the US and can you get to a specialist? We have a great specialist in Colorado. She rooted out my side effect with warfarin and got me changed to apixiban.

Not what you're looking for?
