Hi guys , been feeling a little bit off lately , not sure if it’s a flare or menopause . Just get waves if feeling unwell , pains in my upper joints especially left , light headed , bit numb . The other night I was fine then wallop aching and feeling unwell then it passed . Tonight’s really made me feel unsafe like I did when I had my stroke , my blood pressure ok, and I’m just resting now , check inside a bit numb and sharp pain in my shoulder 🤷‍♀️

I hope you’re at the A&E. We/I await to find out how it went

Any new symptoms like this should be investigated - as an ex ambo EMT, please call out an ambulance, they can do an immediate full mot, blood pressure, blood sugars, ECG, if all normal you will be reassured, if they are concerned about anything they will run you in to A & E. No quicker service.

Please let us know how you get on?

If you feel very unwell and or have a new symptom, or a familiar serious one, you think you have had before, please phone 111 to get some medical advice, or pop along to A&£. MaryF

In America A&£ would be about right.

So far, in emergencies with any of us I have found the 111 with triage in my area, very good, and got us seen quickly, however on one occasion it was too slow, so we just went to A&E, lucky we did that as it was quite serious. Naturally if a friend had not turned up immediately to go the short distance, then I would have gone back to waiting for ambulance, however at times in my area, waiting times have been horrendous. Really hope you get this checked urgently. You need a vein draw on top of it STAT at the very least!

I know it can be very discouraging to not always get the full picture from A and E, but sometimes when you need it most, you do.

A blood full blood count could also be useful- cardiac enzymes- all the biggies ruled out. At least you will know if you need to bridge, as it’s the weekend.

Cheque your INR if you take Warfarin first of all. Do not stay at home with those symptoms.

I get these feeling and have for some time and they find what amount to nothing -I feel they would have to catch it when it is going on and that can be hard to do as My comes and goes not always lasting a 1/2 day or days ?? and i have a lot of issues But i know what your saying other than the menopause of course .WELL then again i guess men can go thru rough times also but mine is my wacky body and all it's issues and it has been going on for a long time . But if you haven't been checked in a while or never before i would and agree with the rest at this point . better safe than sorry.
