Yes I do depending on what I eat, I try to have the same amount of vit k.eating kewi fruit and other high foods, to make it the same.if I have a meal with no vegetables.

I have been on 11mgs, forgot the other day and got carried away drinking red wine, which i am sure effected my inr and it whent up to 4.5 I had it reduced to 10mgs, glad I have my own machine now, as I felt I was above my inr level which should be 3.5 ish.

mind you it was a very nice I really enjoyed.

I will stick with gin now of a week or two.

Love Karen xx

Hi Karen, so can I double check, you have lots of vegetables to lower your amount of warfarin?

Vegetables dont seem to make any difference to me

Hi hon

vegetables tend to lower inr as they can contain vit k which is a blood clotting vit. So would possibly increase your warfarin. Being regular with diet is important to us sludge bloods. :-)

I take between 8 and 11 mg to stay about 2.5 which is too low for me. Keeping it stable is a nightmare as everything interferes with my inr.

I hope you feeling well today.

Take care gentle hugs love n hugs sheena xxxxxxx :-) :-) :-)

Hmm interesting, I was told to avoide broccoli, dark greens, kale and spinnach - of which I love them all.... but I do try to eat lots of veg and fruit..... so is this good or not so good?

does gin not effect your INR like Red wine? ..... Ooppps I shared a bottle of Red yesterday and a couple of glasses of port!.... had my INR Checked today 4.1 which was down on last week :) BUT back to the question in hand, I take 8mg Mon - Sat and 7 Sun for a target of 3 - 4 sort of staying at the at the 4 end of my target so far

Smiles to all

Yup, I currently take 15mg to achieve a target INR of 2.5.

Last year I was averaging 18mg for the same target. So doses can be high and they do tend to fluctuate with respect to diet and exercise.

All the best.

Yup, I'm the exact same. 12mg of wrf for about 8 months now to maintain at 2-3; in reality, it fluctuates from 2.1 to 2.9; kep meaning to kep diary fo what I eat and stress levels to try adn understand fluctuation but haven't manged to do this yet. Don't know if height/weight are a factor? AT 5ft6 in, I'm generally around 10 stone adn could be , frankly, a lot fitter. Hauling my 18month around helps a bit iwh this but am intending to get bak on my hike now the better weather's her (Hooray!) All best wishes.

Since being unwell my weight has gone ballistic and I am at my heaviest of all time, even when 9 month pregnant I didn't get this heavy 5'5" and 12 stone - albeit been on regular steroids too :(

My target is 2.7 wiht a range of 2.5 to 3. I take 11mg and 12mg alternate days. The anti congulate nurse dropped the dose to 10mg than my INR dropped to 2. so i would say yuo are on the right dose.
