I've been tested for APS since August 2018. My symptoms scream of APS.
After finally getting 3 lots of results 12 weeks apart I'm at a dead end. I don't understand them. My GP didn't either and has suggested another round of bloods in 12 weeks.
I'll post here what I have hoping that you can help point me in the right direction.
So very grateful. Thank you in advance.
Serum cardiolipin IgM antibody level
Aug 2018 4.3 U/ml [< 20.0]
Nov 2018 54.2 U/ml [< 20.0]
Jan 2019 28.1 U/ml [< 20.0]
There are various other results which I don't understand so please say if I need to incude those.
Many thanks
M

Could you please post again, ( maybe delete this particular post) and include the date of the test result, and each test name, with each result, please?
Example,
1. ACL , stands for anti cardio lipin
2. B2GP1 , stands for Beta 2 glyco protein 1
3. LA, stands for Lupus anticoagulant. ( do not be confused. It is not a test for lupus. Is is an APS antibody test. It just has a confusing name!)
No problem! Just want to make sure we have the best over view possible- so we can help you to the best of our ability.
I have to get to the hospital for an INR blood draw now, run to my office for work, run to shop for dinner supplies, and get to back home to a hungry teenager after tennis practice, so I will leave this to another admin or other member very knowledgeable in values to pick up on your side- time zone in England!
As you also have thyroid-issues I think you should try to find a Specialist of autoimmun illnesses who also knows APS well. Few Doctors know APS and these autoimmun illnesses go hand in hand. Difficult to diagnose for a GP.
You have not told us if you have neurological symptoms but you could at least try one Baby-Aspirin (75-100 mg is enough) each day together with food to get your blood a little less sticky if you have symptoms form headache, dizziness, doublevision, pins and needles etc.
Read also what Mary F says about all our info here.
As I read it you say cardiolipin IgM and the first one is in the normal range but the November and January ones are both positive. If you also have clinical data of some kind of clot then you could be diagnosed with APS.
