Just checking with you if you have APS? If so, that's a very low INR.

Do you have Hughes/APS?

A tattoo is an open wound and I would suggest anything like having a tattoo should be discussed with your doctor?

I would strongly suggest discussing it with your consultant. I have APS and recently had a tattoo - I self test and just made sure my tattoo was as close to the lower end of my range as possible.

However you need to be honest with your tattooist as well. We chatted a lot about my condition, what might happen if I bled too much etc.

I don’t think there’s a 1 size fits all answer - you need to discuss it with your Dr who understands your personal circumstances

Ask your doctor! No external source of untrained people can give medical advice. I would add that there is always a risk of infection and therefore do you want to take a risk?

Given the data corrolation of us Westerners chemical expos and chronic disease, I have been hyper reluctant to add the chemicals in a tattoo to my list of exposures. I have enough allergies and autoimmune issues!

I have had numerous tattoos done on both Coumadin and on Lovenox. The answer is yes.

Not what you're looking for?
