I have felt numbness or tingling in soles for few days. Has anyone experienced this with APS or could it be something else?

Numb soles
I have numbness and tingling in both of my feet, have been told it's neuropathy due to my diabetes. It is quite bothersome. My Doctor put me on Gabapentin, 400mg...3times a day
I get this in my hands quite often. Especially in the mornings. I am LA positive. Never bothered me when I was growing up only after diagnosis
I have had problems that started with that to pain and onto sores that nearly cost me my left foot and took over a year to heal to normal. I have specially made orthotics. to stop the swelling and soreness -- i would see your DC. and inquire about some help . They said it was the Diabetes but I believe the APS was an equal partner.if not more so . I would not let it get out of hand .
Thanks, I will do it. I also think APS can play a role, but diabetes can cause polyneuropathy also. Do you have that?
I do have Diabetes - But like i said the aps has had a great deal to do with it to --Lat May i was hospitalized , almost lost my left foot , I should say my Diabetes is diet controlled and my numbers are under 126 so it isn't bad enough to have caused what i went thru - it took a year of treating my foot with artificial skin and bandages every 3 days for over a year before i could stop the bandaging -- and my Orthotic's are being redone as we speak , i should have them in 2 or 3 weeks and then they will do a final fitting and then see how they work .
Yes it's like half my feet go number but it's tingly pain too
Thank you for the replys! I think my INR is too low again, but I'll get it checked on Monday.
You need to get your B12 level checked this could be the problem .as I get the same symptoms when my B12 injection is due .also get your thyroid function checked
I have neuropathy on both outer thighs. I take 2400 mg of gaba Penton daily to control the buring and itching. It works well for my symptoms
Where do you live Leen . Some place where you can get that podiatry .
My feet will swell as the day goes on , on the pads ,behind toes and the left side of the heel { that's where the worst sore was } and my only recourse is to get out of the boots till the swelling goes down 5 or 65 hours . i should be getting my new orthotics in about 3 weeks . they are extending the bottom support all the way across the foot from heel to toes as my feet are still getting worse as time goes on .
Do get checked out, the usual INR checks plus B12, Iron and D, also a Thyroid check plus of course for Diabetes at least a fuller picture may emerge. MaryF
I do all time glad other get it too well not glad but you know wot I men x
Hi Leenalina,
I have felt that ( mostly in the evening) for a long time. Not so much though. I wear support stockings always daytime. My INR is ok.
Has this started suddenly lately and is your anticoagulation ok?
Have a nice ending of this summer!
