Referral Letter

I finally got around to going to a GP to get a referral to see a Rheumatologist.

He is going to refer me to Dr Will Taylor (who was recommended to me on here coincidentally).

Except I have to write my own referral and then he'll send it! Has anyone else had to write their own? Or have you an idea what I should write, please!

I would ring the secretary at the GP surgery to check who is writing the referral. We have just asked for a referral also and our doctors secretary wrote to prof Gordon for the referral who was recommended on this site. Good luck

I was referred after diagnosis via nhs- she did 1 test and said nope you're fine- 2 years later I'm still trying to get my gp to understand my pain ! All I would say is make sure you go with a list of your complaints as its very hard at the time to get them to understand- I think she was trying to establish if I had 5 signs of lupus rather than deal with the aps- still not on anything apart from aspirin!
