Hi there
Perhaps speak to your rheumatologist about it, they could ask for you to be kept at a higher level within your range so everyone is happy.
Hope you can get it sorted out to make your life easier

Do you self-test? I do and generally keep pretty close to my target which is a narrow 3.8 to 4.0. And maybe I can't tell a .02 difference but I if I seem to be a bit rough I've found it is 3.4 or thereabouts.
yes i have a machine but i get different reports, thats why i have venus samples aswel .what im going to try is they wont higher so ditch lower end and go 3.5 -4 insted of 3-4, nurses just panic when over 4 and want to keep you bottom end
Hi
I believe that you should self-medicate. I did for years - I also self tested and was pretty much left too it. I was always happier doing it myself than having some one else dictating it. You live with it and if you understand the effect it has on your day-to-day running then you are better controlling it too. Also if you have a nice doctor on your side then you can call if the results are ever confusing and once that trust is built, they know you'll call when something is wrong, they can breathe easier too!
Good luck

The higher my INR, the better I can think, function and feel. My problem is a GP who thinks that 1.3 is close enough!!!! I have a new rheumatologist that is pushing him to keep me at at least 3. We will see what happens. My other option is to "self-medicate" and increase my dose to establish the INR I need to be at.
