Hi, I do not know what welts are. I tried a dictionary but no clue whatsoever.

Hi, both myself and my daughter have had similar with 'hives' usually after an allergy to a drug, have you had any new drug lately or do you have any other allergies?

I get this fairly often . When they are bad I take antihistamine tablets. Perhaps you should see your doctor as they are possibly a reaction to something
Hi, yes, I used to get them a lot and now associate them with food sensitivities. Fish and shellfish were often the cause. I find that the antihistamine Benadryl acrivastine and the Benadryl ointment help to calm them down but you need to avoid eating foods that you react to.
where about do you get these welts
Have you been tested for (discoid) lupus
Hello I get them on my arms and my legs mostly. Although I did notice one that came up in my face once. They can be itchy and feel hot to touch as well.
I have sores on my back that turn to welts - also sores on my feet not the same as back ---- Then sores on legs that start from the inside out with a hard lump under skin-- { no scab or blood at all }when skin tries to rejuvenate , it dry's and falls off--- they just biopsied them and gave me a staff infection that took 6 days to get under control taking 2000 mls of anti-bio tics a day. also they did a smear that was ok . I will let you know how it turns out -- Casey and I
Hi there yes I'd be interested to know how you get on. Would you described the sores like boils?
some of my friends did yes
I do suffer with boils too. I'm wandering if that could be stress related
not that i know of -- i won't have the biopsy back for 2 weeks -- getting that bad infection down has been horrid- anti's for next ten days 2400 mls a day {24 hour day }
From reading the link sent by Mary and looking at the pictures hives seems to be the answer for me. But the causes are varied so need to be vigilant as to the triggers. Thank you all Diane.
Hi Kirsten, yes that's often the case symptoms are never around when you need them. But when they appear again I'm hoping I can take a picture with my phone to show the consultant. Do you know anything about thyroid levels, I've read some conflicting opinions on what is considered normal online?
