I have Hughes. I'm not under a specialist, could someone suggest a good specialist for Hughes syndrome? I live in London.
Hi there, Lucky you, being in London it gives you great choice: So on the NHS: guysandstthomas.nhs.uk/our-...
or privately at London Bridge: londonlupuscentre.co.uk/abo...
Best wishes to you. Mary F x
Have a look at our website - there's lots in London but I would avoid the Lupus Unit as it's going to be swallowed up by Rheumatology:
Hi KateH
Do you mean the Lupus Unit at St Thomas's - it would be a disaster. It is difficult enough to get appointments now?
Thanks
Yes, it's going to move over to Guy's Rheumatology Department at the end of 2014. Therefore, if you have APS and not lupus, it's best to see either Beverley Hunt at St Thomas' or Karen Breen at Guys.
Thank you for this, this site is an amazing source of information and advice.
Hi
I go to Dr Karen Breen at Guys she is in Proffesor Hunt's team. Karen is great and very understanding .
Good luck xxxx
Oh dear Professor Hughes is asking my sons GP to send him to Dr DCruz at St T's so he can get an MRI Eco and more bloods on the NHS. Do you think it will still be possible for him to get to Dr D'Cruz at Tommys. The Prof is going to write to Dr DCruz about my son too.
Kate, I see both Karen Breen at Guys and Beverly Hunt at Tommies... would there be any reason for this? I have confirmed APS, and recently lupus symptoms that are getting worse but show negative for lupus.

Madmaz.....are you in West London? If so, I'd suggest you go to Central Middlesex Hospital and try and contact Dr. Colaco of the Rheumatology Dept - I'd say he's the foremost expert in the field at that hospital.
No i am in East London. My GP is sending me to Guys. Thank you all.
