Who is HIV positive in here?
Why do you want to know ?
It would be great to get the real story of a life with HIV pos. Too much misinformation on google which probably is made by false photos and clickbait agenda.
To be more clear about why I make this post, is because I don’t know anyone else with HIV pos.
I fully support people with HIV and I don’t force anyone to post it here.
Hi Griffon, is it okay I’m asking? I don’t know how I can get in touch with real information about HIV as there’s so much false information online.
Whatever symptoms I search online always finds HIV
Hi , have answered your post to Wizard below . As I say , most infections have similar symptoms and the only sure way to get a correct diagnosis is a test .
I was PRC tested few weeks ago, but I had sex within a month from that time, however, the doctor said PRC test would find HIV if I had it. He then told me come back 6 months later for another test even he said he was pretty sure I’m Negative.
I was worried because the girl I had unprotected virgina sex with a freelance prostitute (club girl) who answered my question if she have HIV with a Yes. When I became worried she said she didn’t understand my question and later she said she made a joke with me (mixed up my mind). She had fever (very hot body) and some rash in face and on her bum. Freaked me out days later when I searched the internet about symptoms and she kept message me about her “rash”.
I been worried before with other girls (massage girls who’s also giving sex), but seems I don’t learn to remember use condom. I hate myself for it, and I don’t know why I do it.
Must be so respect less acting for you guys that really fight with HIV positive.
It’s not my meaning tho and it will hit myself one day if I don’t start to control myself.
I live in South East Asia and often go to girl-bars.
Do you mean a PCR test ? PCR is a test used to detect corona 19 .
If you have unprotected sex with prostitutes there are lots of sexually transmitted diseases you can catch . All these diseases are more infectious than HIV . If you are ill you need to have a full sexual health test done .
From Google:
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
This test finds either the RNA of the HIV virus or the HIV DNA in white blood cells infected with the virus. PCR testing is not done as frequently as antibody testing, because it requires technical skill and expensive equipment.
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests are used to detect HIV's genetic material, called RNA. These tests can be used to screen the donated blood supply and to detect very early infections before antibodies have been developed. This test may be performed just days or weeks after exposure to HIV.
PCR is extensively used in analysing clinical specimens for the presence of infectious agents, including HIV, hepatitis, human papillomavirus (the causative agent of genital warts and cervical cancer), Epstein-Barr virus (glandular fever), malaria and anthrax.
Ok , that's clarified that . The good news is that your PCR test came back negative , which means you do not have HIV .
Youre right Griffon, but after been so nervous and so much fear then I really feel with you guys who’s positive. Is it possible to learn living with HIV without getting mental problems?
Mental health issues are not related to HIV ! It is obvious from the continual " is this an HIV rash ? " type questions on this forum that there are lots of people with mental health problems who do not have HIV .
35+ years here.
Hi wizard,
I feel with you and support you 100% but I have some questions.
How did you get the HIV? And how did you find out you had it?
How does the rash everybody fear, looks like?
What’s the main sickness problem you fight with during HIV?
What cost HIV medication and how do you take it? Is it one pill a day on the exact same time?
35 years is really long time, at what age did you get it? How did you feel the first years mentally??
I’m very sorry if I ask too much, feel free to answer as you want.
I have appointment next week for testing.
Hi , May be I can answer some of your questions from my own experience .
I was diagnosed with HIV , Hep.B and Syphilis ten years ago . I caught these infections through having a very very active sex life , it was with thousands of different partners . I estimate I was infected 5 - 10 years prior to starting treatment . Because of the co infections it is hard to say which disease caused what symptoms .
Personally I think I had no symptoms at all from the HIV , and the problems I was suffering were caused by the Hep.B . For the record , the health problems that led me to get tested were continual fevers , fatigue and chest pain , fuzzy vision , loss of memory and loss of a sense of reality .
All infections cause fever and fatigue , but I think the chest pains and cognitive problems were due to toxins from the Hep.B . As I said I don't think the HIV caused any symptoms at all , and I never had a rash . HIV is quite hard to catch and lots infections cause similar symptoms, so if you are ill it is quite likely that there is some other disease making you sick .
Treatment for HIV is now good and is one tablet taken at the same time every day .
Hello Griffon,
Wow thanks so much.
What do you think about the information online? Doesn’t it cause more fear than help? For me it seems like if you search on pain in the shoulder it comes out as HIV.
So you been HIV positive for almost 15-20 years now?
Syphilis can be threatened right? So you don’t have that now?
I feel with you and wish you all the best and a long life.
Griffon , how are you treating hepatitis B. is it curable?
Chronic Hep.B is like HIV in that it can not be cured , only suppressed with medication which is the same as used to treat HIV . I think it was the Hep.B infection that was causing the symptoms and illness that led me to get diagnosed , not the HIV , which as far as I could tell did not have any symptoms at all . The important thing with Hep.B infection is to suppress the virus to undetectable level to prevent liver damage and infection to other people .
Having said this the biggest problem I have is loss of kidney function due mainly to a side effect of an HIV medication I was on . This loss of function has in turn caused gout which then causes muscle stiffness and joint pain . The treatment for gout can also cause kidney damage , so I'm walking a tightrope with this one .
Griffon . thanks for ur reply. i have all these symptoms of itching and painful rashes.. and burning sensation in the body. same as u described your problems.. may be due to the toxins in liver.. my last scan showed fatty liver.. i had sex.. and did test after 3 months for hiv1/2, hepatitis A(positive might be from long ago),B,C and they came back negative.. i also read that if there are co infections of hepatitis and hiv the test will not find out..
You have been told wrong , co infections show up on tests just as they would as single infections .
You have had negative tests for Hep. ABC and HIV , YOU DO NOT HAVE THESE INFECTIONS .
Griffon , my immune system was week.. not sure if the required antibodies are produced by that time.. i have severe tonsilitis and body pains from that time. the throat culture showed klabisella pneumonia.. which is a rare one in immune deficient people.. my cd4 wast arount 600 and cd8 below 200 and ratio is 3:1
I would be glad to talk with you and answer all. But would really like to figure out how to do it w/o typing. Some audio chat or similar. And I really don't even know how to do that I am sort of new to technology in these forms I am on a tablet. But I also have a good Circle of Friends that will help if I ask to figure it out. I have interacted with many folk over the years. And none have mentioned HIV rash issue.
I am and have been for nearly 14 years
