Should I be worried?

Hi again. Should I be worried about hiv? I don’t have other symptoms and I got the mark on my finger and that worried me. I rushed to my doctor and she said I shouldn’t worry because it doesn’t look like a syringe stick, but now I’m convinced that it is and I have gotten hiv. I’m afraid that I have hiv rash but it looks like acne. I can’t take any more tests. I have been dealing with anxiety for hiv for over two years now. I don’t even have sex anymore. I’m also working as a chef and I know I made food the day before that mark showed up.

HIV presents itself during seroconversion as a feverish illness that in my case lasted 7-10 days. A Mark on your body in isolation isn’t a sign of HIV infection as far as I know!

As long as you always use condoms you shouldn’t be at risk of contracting HIV from sex. Try to relax

Yes. But I’m afraid that I have been near a syringe needle and have gotten hiv.

You would need to have injected yourself with the needle. Blood on the tip of the syringe won’t contain HIV as the virus can’t survive in air for more than a few seconds

Ok. But it dosent look like a syringe?

No, it simply looks like a scuff. What makes you think that you have caught HIV because of a mark on your finger?

I don’t know. I’m been afraid of hiv for over two years so I think everything different on my body is related to hiv.

Whilst it’s far better not to become infected with HIV, the medication that is available now, makes it a chronic illness but with an almost normal life span. I contracted HIV from the girl I lost my virginity to in our teens. 25 years later we are both alive and doing well so please don’t allow your anxiety to make you more ill.

Yes. The doctor doesn’t want to test me because they say it will feed my anxiety

Maybe having some counselling would be beneficial. It could help put your concerns in perspective and reduce the stressful thoughts you find yourself having. Even hypnotism may help.

Why have your started an entire new thread Loubbis about the same pic you showed before ? You received advice in that post, you need to focus on that. This forum is actually meant to support people living with HIV , and you are negative.

Loubbis , you have a mental health issue . You know this , so why are you worrying about HIV which you do not have , but not doing anything to help the psychological disorder that you know you do have ? We can not help you , only you can help yourself .

I'm unsure where you got this info from, but if correct then yes Loubbis you need psychological help. I am not going to reply further to your queries on here. As I have stated before, this forum is mean to support people living with HIV . You are negative.

Loubbis , you do not have HIV . What you have is a mental disorder that is making you think you have .

For all of us reality is what is in our heads . The problem you have is your brain is playing tricks on you . Sorry if I do not sound sympathetic , because really I am , but no one can help you until you understand that your problem is a psychological one NOT HIV !
