PiP Application

Hi I am pretty new to HIV being diagnosed only 18 months ago.  I would really appreciate some information on applying for PiPs.  I am finding the medication a real issue feeling fatigued and sick a lot of the time.  I also have issues with an injury I have to my lower leg which I did falling off my mountain bike a year after diagnosis.

Have you checked into your state AIDS Drug Assistance Program?  (Where do you live)?

Hi dino, I'm in the uk too. I was "lucky" and got put straight in to DLA 20 odd years ago and have somehow managed to keep some benefits. I understand it's quite difficult to get on now with hiv. You need to prove you can't walk or cook for yourself or be incontinent to get any sickness benefits. That's my understanding of it, I'm not up to date with the new benefit system.

Good luck.
