Hi everyone, I have had few extra special days that's why I didn't come on here, but now itching is almost gone, blotches in face are gone apart from a few dry skin patches. Still no nausea, thank god. But getting breathless from almost any physical effort I make and feeling increasingly tired. Sleeping has gone to pots and having the most stupid vivid dreams when I do drift off π dreamt my neighbour had a baby, but it was made of blue play doh, and really small, so yeah getting there loosing my marbles. Went to work yesterday for half a day, took me an hour when I got home to stop sweating catch my breath and when i then thought, right going to go to the kitchen and make some food, I just entered kitchen and decided I need to go to bed and sleep, like right now this instant lol. It's funny though, because I don't look very pale, normally I'm more pale than now? So I don't think I have gone aneamic either, very weird. Started to have abdominal twinges on liver side and headaches are quite frequent, otherwise I feel ok, when I sit down. Hospital appointment this afternoon for two week bloods. Although I started a few days late, but they know this. Just been sent home from work this morning, as apparently no one will let me have a go, so home I went .Hope you are all keeping as well as possible ππͺ
So this is day 11: Hi everyone, I have had... - Hepatitis C Trust
So this is day 11
Day 11 ! Well done π. Heading towards the π₯ goalposts! Hope all goes well at your appointment. Had to have a laugh π€ at your dreams. I have had that feeling in the past with the π€ tiredness, could quite easily sleep π€ on a clothesline!! Or anywhere else for that matter π΄. Thanks for making me smile π. Iβm on day 4 of treatment and just spoke to nurse, I feel okay at this point, still get the itches and sweats. If anyone else asks me if Iβm going through the change again, Iβm gonna turn into a frenzied monkey π!! Take care, πππx
Glad I made you laugh π€£Oh lol, yes I get the sweats so bad the last couple of days, I'm in perimenopause (they say I'm too young to be in full menopause at 47π) and I really started to wonder if it has all accelerated lol. In the morning it's one hot flush after another! I normally get them occasionally, but right now it's ridiculous π the itching has died down for me so I hope it will do the same for you. Once you started treatment it's just a race to the finish line, I wish you all the best! I must say it feels much longer than 11 days though so far πgood luck to you we can do this!! How long is your treatment? ππππͺππ
Hi there, my treatment is 8 weeks of mavaret, must say they seem to be very little side effects so far, apart from the sweats and itching.Feels good to be so lucky to have been diagnosed and treated before my fibrosis got its self into a worsening state. Just greatfull at my (post menopause ) ageπ¬ that they found the hep virus. Doctor was shocked to say the least, but not as much as I was!! However, things work in mysterious ways, and I 'm trying to stay positive.ππͺππΊ
Glad to hear that you don't have too many side effects!π And also only 7.5 weeks to go, that's awesome πͺππ yes we are definitely lucky to have been given treatment, I remember back when I was diagnosed there was no options at all. And then interferon with Ribavirin with a chance of 50 percent for my genotype, so I said nope all this time until now. So grateful for the chance to get rid of this crappy disease. I keep picturing PAC man when I think of the little buggers being chased and killed in there, can't help it, keeps me smiling βΊοΈ all the best to you, and please keep us posted how you getting on πͺππβΊοΈπππ€
ππ»ββοΈππday 11,not long Now hope the fat fingers are ok now.
Thatβs great your getting there
Just got back from hospital, they told me to stay the week off work and take it easy. Awaiting bloods now. They have a backlog so viral load might not come back until next week. Will have to work out if I'm dizzy by vision or just dizzy as they seem to be interested to know the difference and I honestly am not sure, I'm just woozy lol. They seem to think if I'm 'just' dizzy I could just have a middle ear infection, which I don't believe since it coincided within a few days of starting treatment. I personally blame the Ribavirin π but will have to wait and see. Glad you are all fighting on and doing ok π€πππͺπππ
Hanging in there I am going to need more time off workπscared about not getting paid the symptoms you describe are the same here like a fog early dementia yes the consultant says ribavirin is the culprit in most of the side effects good luck with bloods Iβm sure the vl is 0 ! Take care
Yeah me too, worried re. my pay, but still it has to be done and we have to keep our eyes on the prize. But yes worrying re. pay doesn't help. I'm not sure what to do about that either, but can't do my job right now so no choice π£ it's good that your consultant acknowledges that ribavirin can cause many symptoms. Do I remember correctly did they reduce your dose? Does it help you feel better? Thanks you, yes hopefully VL will have gone down a bit by now, nurse seems to think it should have dropped considerably by now although it's only day 11, fingers crossed. Look after yourself πππ
Your funnyπ€£play dough babies hahaha. I'm not to good either, I'm knocked, sickn sweating buckets today when I was out. This too shall pass and we will look back on it in pride. It's like constant morning sickness with me.
Yeah that baby looked like a lump of play doh πππ I'm lucky I don't have nausea at all so far, but tablets went down a bit harder this morning π They want me to think about what kind of dizzy I am, if it's from my vision or not? I honestly can't figure it out I'm just dizzy, kinda unbalanced and then that affects my vision, so I kinda can't see straight lol. They will call me today hoping I have figured it out, but I haven't! π° Yes I'm sweating like a pig when I do anything at all, so glad it's not summer, can you imagine, we would just dissolve πππ hope you will have a better day today. Only day 12 for me, good luck for today. I will just do nothing at all ππ
Your all doing an amazing job,and fast forward a few weeks youlle be getting ready for the π beachππ
Thanks for the positivity Alan. It seems that far away! I think my side effects are bad cuz of my genotype. Bought ginger capsules n living on ensure drinks. At least il be a bit slimmer for beach, thinking of going to Amsterdam with my son when I'm finished treatment. Who knows! Never know where il end up.
Hiya cara,I lived in the centre of Amsterdam for 6 months,itβs a lively place, lots of Scottish people come and go,itβs not the place for your π as itβs all cobbled streetsπ lots of people in them leggings though so youβre ok there, hope you feel better soonπ€
Your funny allanππ€£nearly half way through! Loosing the gut so that's a bonus. You have a good wee day! Am gony order a pair a legginsπ€on eBay!π€£
Lol me too!!! Haven't won't heels in ages, these days I like it more comfy π had a call from nurse earlier, bloods are partly back. She says my inflammation market is at 23 which is the lowest it ever was (can't remember right now which one the inflammation marker is lol, dementia right behind me π½) but for some funny reason my haemoglobin went up? Lmao. Only thing that's too high now is my bilirubin, which she says is expected due to treatment, and that's why I'm slightly tanned I suppose. So gonna stick with meds until Sunday and if still dizzy and breathless she said I could drop one Ribavirin of the six, no one knows if that would make a difference though. So yeah will have to wait and see what happens π lot of pressure off me for not having to worry about work this week, that helps a lot too. Keep well everyone and keep on going ππ€π
Did the nurse mention your viral load in comparison with before you started and can recommend crocs for comfort, not really a good look but really comfy π
Have to wait until next week for viral load result, they say that that result takes longer to come back unfortunately, so hopefully next week and if not, at next appointment in two weeks. π hope I get it next week though πCrocks are really comfy, and I don't care how they look anyway, we live in a rural area, where the sense of fashion is very special anyways πππ crocks are all the rage on the farms ππππ π π such hippies round here πlol
I live in devon now Iβm surrounded by farmers Iβve got limited edition crocs so get some looks of envy loafing around very casual and comfortable πyou are right about special fashion sense itβs amazing what you can mix and match with wellies around town, they wear them in the doctors surgery hereπ€
Lol limited edition crocks that's awesome !!! I want some! Sadly my Amazon voucher won't stretch that far, still looking what to spend it on lol!π I'm up in Gloucestershire, wellies, a landrover and some spaniels are the height of fashion here ( for the wealthier ones) , everyone else is very artistic and colourful π I have been to Tontnes before, only place a tad more alternative than where I am, but it comes very close my little town βΊοΈ
Just realised how much rubbish I typed in this post, by way of spelling mistakes! Sorry guys π
That's good you don't work justnow, I don't either, I'd be at deaths doorππ€π€time for me justnow. Take care and treat yourself to a nice pair of heelsπ
