I have had symptoms of AF for many years but only had it confirmed recently. I’m not on any medication as I only have episodes now and again. Can anyone recommend vitamins to take which may help and also does losing weight reduce symptoms?
thank you x

Hi Lotty 3215, my cardiologist recommended me to take Magnesium Citrate (400mg) but I only take 200mg daily. I was in AE last November with 149 pulse, they gave me 2.5 Bisoprolol twice and my pulse did not satisfactorily come down, in the end they gave me Magnesium intraveinously. Thankfully, my pulse did come down and I was able to come home later that night. My cardiologist also recommended me to take Vitamin D3 and VitaminB12. As Ernest76 suggested, you should be taking a blood thinner too to avoid the risk of clots. I am a bit surprised that you have not been prescribed this beforehand. I have been taking Apixaban for 5 years now since I was diagnosed with Paroxymal Atrial Fibrillation in 2017. I hope that helps and wishing you all the best.
