Verapamil and heart bpm - atrial fibrillation

I know there is an immediate effect from this, but how long does it take for it to work effectively?

My AF is constant and the last week heart rates have varied from 60 to 150. Is this normal for those with persistent AF? My resting rate varies between 69 and 100 and walking 131 to 150

Does anyone else find it difficult to sleep on their left side?

Yes to all the above. Verapamil seemed OK at first but now not controlling rate as before. Diagnosed in Feb. On a 4 month wait for cv but thinking of calling secretary to ask if it can be chased up a bit.

I hope they get you sorted soon. I think my heart rate overall is decreasing, so hopefully it will work for me .
