Bisoprolol/ Lasartan

Hi all my first post on here great help reading all posts on Issues pertaining to the heart,

Can anyone throw some light on taking these 2 meds together I take 2.5mg Bisoprolol each morning as well as 100 mg Lasartan for bp the bisoprolol Is for my Ectopic beats which I’ve had for the last 25 yrs Im wondering If slight blood streaked phlegm which I pull up with wheezing Is a side effect from 1 or the other been on Lasartan for nearly 2 yrs bisoprolol 5 months

hi christarlla65 I have been on bisoprolol for about 15 years or more I had that feeling they were not going the job so I stopped after about 3 month I started feeling out of breath and ended up in hospital my new cardiologist put me on a variation of medication bisoprolol went up to 7.5 when I think about it my own GP and the last cardiologist had very little time for me just another patient but my new one is trying everything to get my heart problem back to normal so go and see your cardiologist it could be you need to up the dosage or lower it I am 68 but still get first class treatment from the system bisoprolol is working for me had no rapid heartbeats since they got back in my system so go and question your GP or cardiologist what they can do nowadays is brilliant I have had my problem for about 40 years good luck never give up

Im sure your correct Iwas taking 2.5 andnow Im down to 1.5 as I told my doc, I was still getting ectopics so I figured they were not working I told her I wanted to wean off them and try mag nesium but she said to lower the dose first as sometimes that can work better but no Ive had ectopics every day for the last 13 weeks and at the moment Its not a priority for the gp
