Yes I get them from time to time. Some days a lot some days none. It is definitely scary! But have been told it’s all benign and not to worry. But I know it’s very hard not to when they happen !

Yes I have them a lot too and used to worry about them and find it hard to sleep. An ectopic or slightly delayed heart beat apparently then leads to a larger beat to pump out the blood (my not very technical explanation!!). The consultant said it's nothing at all to worry about, as long as your heart's OK so I now try to ignore them. It can also have something to do with the vagus nerve so he suggested small meals, not eating for a few hours before bedtime and sleeping in a more propped-up position. I really feel for you as it's not comfortable and it's hard to relax isn't it?- but it certainly helped me to know it's nothing to worry about. Good luck!

Yes. I was advised by Mike Burrows to breath through my nose only and it does seem to calm it down eventually.
