The only thing I could think of is that you may have apnea. Apnea usually occurs in your sleep and is known by most as sleep apnea but it can occur while awake though its very rare. Just give your Doctor a call and let him/her know whats going on.

Hello

I have the same for more than 8 years. It is scarring but it is not dangerous. I know how you feel. Please listen to me and speak to your doctor about yout feelings and concerns. Anxiety makes your PVC worse. I take beta blockator and I have just started antidepressive Paroxat . I take only 10mg daily even my doctor recommanded 20mg. It really helps. Good luck .

How many breaths per minute are you taking ? 12-20 breaths at rest per minute is considered normal.

Sounds like you need to be seen by a sleep study center. They sent me to one after my CHF.

If you are awake I know that you're not breathing in after you have a PVC, mine on medical opinion, simply as a person with PVCs as well, is that it is likely anxiety. You are probably doing this to yourself unknowingly because the thuds from PVCs are much more noticeable to you when you're lying in a dark room at night with no sounds. Chances are good that you experience the same Sensations during the day, but are not noticing them nearly as much because you're busy and occupied.

As another user suggestion, it may be beneficial to see if you have sleep apnea as PVCs and sleep apnea often go hand-in-hand. If you are referred to a sleep study, I would strongly recommend that you make sure you go to the hospital to do it, or at least to an independent sleep study location that in no way, shape, or form, cells the machines that are used to treat sleep apnea. In some areas, the stores that sell the sleep apnea machines are the ones to do the tests, and as you can imagine, they only make money when they sell you one of their $2,000 machines. You'll find if you go to a place like that that even if you have mild sleep apnea or occasional sleep apnea and they will try to push selling one of these machines on you. Your sleep study needs to be done by a truly independent lab who does not profit either way if you buy or don't buy a sleep apnea machine.

But if these breathing occurrences are scaring the Daylights out of you as you say, your first line of getting answers should always, always, be your doctor or cardiologist. Nothing you read here, or on any other internet Forum, should ever take the place of properly trained medical advice from your doctor or cardiologist.
