Hi guys; I'm John. I am 72, I have exercise induced AF and I had a stoke in July 2016 that left me partially sighted (I had been advised by an EP not to take an anticoagulant as I was a bleed risk and a "gym bunny"). I've had the rare condition pulmonary toxicity secondary to dronedarone and amiodarone that took me close to death. I've featured in a short video about AF and anticoagulation that's been circulated to clinicians in the UK and USA, written a short article for the AFA mgazine and, I'm in the current HealthUnlocked "Beyond The Clinic" on Facebook and Instagram. I have a Concept 2 indoor rowing machine and I've clocked over 700km, I'm in a walking group, Secretary of a nature conservation group (lots of physical and admin. work) and, a trustee of a community charity.

Not good to hear of your stroke, through not being prescribed an anticoagulant. You sound as though you're still leading a full life, me too.
