Hi

Just wondering of those who have had ablation for paroxysmal Atrial fibrillation..... was the first attempt successful? And how long have people remained symptom free?? Thank you

Underwent ablation last January. Had slow version of afib. Procedure went well. Cardiologist also addressed instance of flutter in same chamber. Said afterwards flutter site may not have been completely resolved. Afib was. Stayed overnight for observation. Recovery for intense exertion took longer than expected. Found no guidance for this. Did return completely though. Then pushing hard in August heat and humidity, flutter kicked in. Went out of rhythm. Energy sapped. Cardioverted back in rhythm couple weeks later. A learning has been to be slow and steady with recovery routine. Building intensity in stages. Will likely have remaining spot of flutter ablated before end of year.
