I had a radio frequency ablation on the 31st May 2018. Got sent home the next day. During the night I became increasingly breathless and felt unwell. Went to A+E where I was admitted. My heart seems fine normal rhythm but I’m getting breathless just walking around. They think i’v got a chest infection, had antibiotics . Is this normal to feel like this?
I think the hospital is a bit blasé about how you’ll feel afterwards.

Yes, I'd agree with you that hospitals can be quite blasé about how we feel after an ablation. It doesn't sound right to be so breathless just walking around, so they could be right in saying you have an infection. I've heard of others on this forum saying they've had the same thing post ablation. It's quite normal to feel tired and a little fragile after the procedure though. I've had three and felt differently after each one.
Please let us know how you get on.
Did you mean the date you had your ablation to be 2017?
Chest Infection is a nightmare for me with AF cardio says heart can swell a little with stress of infection and cause AF - if thats the cause should go when the infection is under control.
