Alcohol and irregular heartbeat
depends who you are - for me its a trigger so dont drink any more.
I've been caffeine free for years but loathed to give up my wine so I tend to have one glass in the evening but if I have ever exceeded two if we've been socialising or even mixed, say a gin then a wine later, I feel rubbish the next day and yes, would feel it had brought about irregulars. So I'd rather be a little and often drinker.
Hi. I have VT and still drink although not to the point of oblivion.
I was advised not to drink more than 3 drinks at a time as it can set off or lower your heart rate especially with the medication I'm now on.
Basically, listen to yourself and just be aware of how it affects you.
I'd never get wasted then take my tablets before I sleep and I am aware that too much could have an adverse or dangerous outcome so be sensible but have a little fun as otherwise life can be pretty depressing with this condition.
Being tired and not being able to actively exercise is bad enough but I don't want to live a life where I'm constantly scared to do anything as we could get run over by a bus or blown up by a terrorist if you want to be that negative.
Good luck and be strong!
I had to cut drinking alcohol it made it worse for me and very rough with just half a glass - my advice would be not to drink any form of alcohol at all...
I have noticed about half of the time that it will set off my pvcs and then sometimes it doesn't. I believe that when my pvcs are in their "acting up phase" that it is worse...
