after suffering with palpitations and instances of fainting. I was given a holster monitor to wear for 72 hours. returned the box and thought nothing of it. then, I was called to go back to cardiology for a implanted recorder to be worn. it appears I had 203 episodes of sinus tachycardia and SVT's. all of a sudden loads of appointments and referrals have started coming through the letter box. I'm a 40 yr old healthy active mum of 3, I'm waiting to find out if either a pacemaker or ablation required. can anyone offer advice as to long term. thank you

worried for my children's future...
Hello - I have had two ablations on different parts of my heart. Like you I was a mother of 4 son's and although at the time they had already left home when I was first confirmed to have a SVT operation ablation carried out 2013. I was 50 then 2015 and at 58 I was then told I had a AF and needed my second heart operation. I was told that the condition run's in the family and to my knowledge there is no one in my family that have heart issues. I still have a slight problem since my second ablation in 2016 and this one was hiding behind my SVT and main cause for my SVT.
Passing out all over the place driving has since stopped as per the consultants advice, which took some time to accept. The ablations I have had was to see if that would help and if not then a pacemaker would be last point of treatment. Just go with what your consultant advises they know what is needed... Wishing you all the very best in all your future treatments and take care x
