heart not beating wright
Hi oomorrisoo
You need to go and see your GP and ask for a referral to an EP (Electrophysiologist) they are the specialists in Heart Rhythm and will be able to find out what is happening.
Be well
Ian
Agree you need to se your GP and get a cardio gram and blood tests done with some urgency (few days but sooner if you get short of breath). Hopefully they will be able to give a diagnosis.
Whilst I agree an EP would be best, it may take several weeks to see one unless you pay privately.
You haven't commented on your general health position. Do you have any systemic heart problems? do you smoke? do you drink alcohol little, moderately or a lot? usually the majority of times that people have heart arrhythmias, it is allied to some sort of lifestyle indulgence, which can include over eating and all the other things I've mentioned. What is your weight? is it normal for your height? there's so many different factors that can affect heart rhythm and you have to try to, along with your GP., or cardio, determine what may be the underlying causes, or what may be the main contributory factor to your arrhythmia. When I was suffering from PAF., I was having about a 6% incidence in 7 days. I was still going out riding my bike 20 to 30 miles per week, although it was hard if I was having an incidence of PAF. I'm 68 years old, I'm in quite good condition and very fit for my age. I had a cryo-ablation in August 2014 and have not had any problems since with arrhythmia since, touch wood.
