Hello,

I have had a call today to say my surgery has been booked for next Thursday, I was wondering how much time your partners/spouses stayed home with you afterwards? My husband needs to sort out time off work but we don’t know how long he should take?

My husband took 3 weeks off. The first week was absolutely necessary, no doubt about it. By about the middle of the second week, I could have gotten the kids to and from school myself. Him being home the third week just spoiled me. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy on 02/22/19, so my recovery takes longer than some of the less invasive methods.
