I just started with period pains, my ovaries are still intact..

Could be feeling ovulation pain. Did you leave your cervix?
I don't know too much about where the cramps may be inside you?
Did you have any other conditions that could feel like period cramp maybe Endometriosis?
If it's 9 years maybe you should get a scan to see what's going on in there.
Endometriosis can return post hysterectomy as glands can be present on other organs like the bowel for example. I believe if you have endometrial tissue and your ovaries are in tact that this tissue can actually "bleed" at the time of the month. I've about read it yet don't understand how that manifests, whether it's a physical bleed into your pants per say or not.
So many ladies have different versions of hysterectomy its very hard to give a straight answer unless you know exactly what remains.
Many women leave the cervix yet everything else goes, some leave their ovaries to protect bone health, heart health and so forth, some leave one ovary. Some chose HRT after and some do not.
It's a pity after tgis time you are getting cramps.
Definately worth investigating.
