Yoga is known to be a great healer - and I am sure it would give you a feeling of well being - albeit not a cure for your conditions. It does give more awareness of the body and how the mind and body are so connected. I teach a couple of classes a week here in Crete and find it very helpful.

I have pals who suffer with Parkinsons and it keeps coming onto my radar. I have just read the book - The Brain Maker - by David Perlmutter - a Neurologist from the US. A very interesting read and talks at length about the Gut Microbiome and its effects on the brain. If you only learn one helpful thing - then it could be helpful.

There is also research linking LOW thyroid hormones to Parkinsons. Sadly Docs do not test thoroughly so it is constantly being missed. They just test the TSH - when the FT4 - FT3 and the anti-bodies should also be tested. Then they declare you NORMAL - when they mean - in range. Where you are in the range is VERY important for wellbeing. Good Private Testing in the home is available through the website Thyroid UK and of course other places. Genova Diagnostics and Blue Horizon are two that spring to mind.

The other well documented issue is LOW B12. That too is badly diagnosed by the GP = gain they say normal when in range. It needs to be around 1000. Low B12 is a neurological condition and can also be implicated in Epilepsy I have read.

Also check out VitD - another misunderstood ingredient in our health. It is a steroidal pre-hormone and needed in every cell of the body.

Nothing is a cure but optimal levels of the above can certainly improve our wellbeing....

Have you tried a ketogenic diet - which may bring relief for both conditions? Good luck

I have recently had Bowen therapy which the therapist said was particularly good for Parkinsons. I don't know if you have tried it?

Yes yoga would be good Adlon especially as anxiety often goes with PD due to neuro transmitter imbalances I guess. There is a lot of research now on exercise and PD.

I find yoga stretches the muscles I didn't know I had. You have to be careful what sort of class is being given. Teachers with the British Wheel of Yoga are reliable. But that's not the only good trainers. Teachers shouls be emphasising that you should never do anything that feels wrong and always stop when you feel pain.

Buddhist style of meditation e.g. starting by counting breaths and noting thoughts as they occur, then letting tham pass. Yoga is a good introduction to this as the postures require total concentration.
