Shamefully homeopaths have tried to claim that immunotherapy is based on similar principles - re nut allergy story
depressingly inevitable I suppose
I see this all the time - it's difficult to know whether it's ignorance or mendacity on behalf of the homeopaths.
always wondered about that - well-meaning cranks or evil fraudsters
I'm sure there are some complete fraudsters amongst them (as in all walks of life!), but I suspect that most have just been misled or just can't understand why homeopathy is quackery. A good insight into the homeopathic mindset is given by an ex-homeopath: quackometer.net/blog/2010/1...
They need to read this - theness.com/neurologicablog... for an explanation of why it's not.
Or the great Trick or Treatment by Ed Ernst. amazon.co.uk/Trick-Treatmen... . Hilarious that their mystical concept of molecular memory is being crow-barred into the huge body of evidence that supports immunology. Of course none of the theoretical concepts would matter if the treatments could be proven to add an effect beyond placebo. Although of course placebo is not to be underestimated as a treatment when there's nothing else.
