Hi everyone. We would like to invite you all to have a look at our blog, Research The Headlines, which discusses the portrayal of research in the media.

Each post usually takes recent media coverage of a piece of research as a starting point, with the aim of asking for evidence and rooting out for the research and communicating it to the public, hopefully to enhance their understanding of what was really done, and what it might mean for them, from an expert but independent position.

The contributors to Research the Headlines are all members of the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Young Academy of Scotland. We are a broad and multidisciplinary group of individuals, coming from the disciplines of science and the humanities, the professions, the arts, business and civil society.
