Hi folks,

I also use the Headway community on HU and there are a few friendly faces on there who like my art too.

I drew this and sold it to her. I posted this to her. She loves it.

This person lives in Manchester too. That is roughly 4 or more hours from me.

Hi Matt2584

This is a fantastic drawing of the Aadvark - very skilful and you accomplished a lot in those 4 hours. Have you thought of entering one of those competitions for 'Artist of the Year' - I've enjoyed watching some of those episodes on TV - I think there's one for 'Landscape artists' and also portraits, but maybe there's a generic one... Not sure if you're wanting to do that, but you are very good.

Zest :-)

Thank you Zest :).

No. I don’t think I could enter an ‘artist of the year’ competition.

I’ll look into it and gather more details but I don’t think it would be my kind of thing.

If you don't try, it's like rejecting yourself. Don't do that, Matt2584 , please. :-)

Matt2584 profile image
Matt2584 in reply toActivity2004

It’s not really that I don’t want to try it’s mainly finding the time.

I’ve got other things to be thinking about that Imay not be able to fit it in.

Activity2004Administrator in reply toMatt2584

That makes sense. You do what you can and when you’re free.😀👍

LOL Hidden , you demand an explanation and then say you don't want one...

How many times have you left after leaving an unpleasant critical reply to someone?

I've lost count how many times you've left and rejoined and that's a fact.

I dunno, it's part of healthy living perhaps? Drawing is a meditative, and meditating is good for our digestive health :)

And it’s very therapeutic too :).

Most things involving creativity can be therapeutic.

Definitely! I'll have to dig out my colouring books again - it's great for mindfulness practice :)

Matt2584 profile image
Matt2584 in reply toCooper27

I have heard of those adult colouring books before but never really thought they would be sort of thing and probably not so necessary to me as I draw my own pictures and might colour them in :).

But I am part of an arts and crafts group and that was where I had my first try at an adult colouring book.

I actually quite liked it.

It won’t be something for me to do all the time because I have art to work on but if I am at this craft group I can always choose to do some colouring there :).

And again, very therapeutic and the time whizzes by :).

That's right. I know some people who do coloring during the weekdays. They enjoy it. :-)

Thank you :).

Yes, it’s very good that I can post my art on here.

Not only is it to show off my talent but also to get myself more recognised.

I am a budding artist at the moment. Some people have seen my art but I’m not well known.

But it’s good that some people further afield, like this lady in Manchester, knows of my art and my aunty and uncle went on a little holiday to Ware ham and they loved the B&B they stayed at and as a ‘thank you’ from my aunt & uncle I drew a picture for the B&B owners that my auntie payed for and when my aunt & uncle went back to Ware ham they passed on the drawing to the owners and they loved it :).

Great idea. A deer. I have not drawn one yet. I might have a go at one :).

I’m in the middle of drawing a lion right now. I love the big cats. Tigers are my favourites :).

I worked at a zoo doing my graduate work. Specialized in the large cats and wolves. Being face to face with them is amazing such a memorable experience now I have my deer. My husband calls me Mother Nature. Besides my Chesapeake Bay Ret. and cat.

Hi Debs, thank you very much :).

Don’t worry about it, I’m used to being copped haha.

Brilliant drawing, I wonder how many people know what one is because it’s the first animal mentioned in a dictionary, I know that’s the case for me! x

Thank you Caz :).

I expect not many of the younger generation do know what an Aardvark actually looks like.

But some people might have some idea if they were a 90s kid and used to watch children TV, like me, cos there used to be a puppet Aardvark on there. I think it's name was Andy the Aardvark or Anthony. Could be Anthony sine Aardvarks are known for eating ants :).

Just proves tv can be educational 😉

Yes, that’s right :).

I think a similar thing when it comes to video games sometimes.

Some people, parents can say they are a problem but you can actually learn some minor things from video games.
