Almost home time and hungry. But there's no healthy snacks to pass me through. It's a vending machine full of sweets.

Oh no! ShadowDee - stand away from the Vending machine - you don't need those sweets. You'll be able to enjoy a lovely meal when you get home - wishing you strength to ride that hunger pang and enjoy the lovely meal you'll have later. :-)

Thank you Zest I'll pack healthy snacks tomorrow. Meantime, just having a hot cup of water.

Hi ShadowDee, it’s hard when your body is craving for food, so distracting and liquid sometimes can help it to pass. I am drinking peppermint tea at the moment which is really good.

I have some three seed and three grain crisp breads and a jar of almond butter in my desk drawer for snack emergencies.

Sometimes when I get home from work and I am ravinous I cut a bit of cheese up and put it on a plain rice cracker.

Good luck on keeping those hunger pangs at bay ☺️

Hello ShadowDee .

When I worked as a teacher I would be famished by the end of the day. For that reason I had bananas and yogurt (we had a fridge) and 🍎 apple , which was easily stored in my desk. I gave up looking for healthy snacks around to buy, and figured I had to bring my own . 😒

Thanks all. I got some great ideas now. We do have a fridge at work. I'll make use of it.

I stayed from the vending machine 😊and stuck with my meal plan.

I rarely leave home without a bottle of filtered water & a snack box full of almonds, walnuts & brazils. I add seeds & dried fruit, & a piece or two of dark chocolate. :) Citrus fruit seems to travel better (in my bag) than apples & bananas as they get squished too easily.
